the 5th Asia Pacific Winter School for Young and Emerging Evaluators, 2024

An exciting opportunity for young and emerging evaluators in the Asia Pacific region, the application for the 5th Asia Pacific Winter School for Young and Emerging Evaluators, 2024 will be launched by EvalYouth Asia, a regional chapter of the EvalYouth Global Network. This in-person Winter School will be held on 30 November and 1st December 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

This event will be held in conjunction with the Academic Symposium on M&E Education, organized by the Center for Evaluation, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Evaluation Association (APEA) and the Consortium of Academic Institutions. It’s an excellent opportunity for YEEs to learn from experts in the field, gain practical experience, and network with peers from across the region.

The Winter School application is now open to YEEs who are interested in building their evaluation skills and contributing to the development of the evaluation profession in the Asia Pacific region. The 5th Asia Pacific Winter School is specifically focused on providing practical evaluation skills and will cover a range of topics related to evaluation practice and methodology.

The Winter School for YEEs seeks to:

  • Enhance knowledge and skills of YEEs on evaluation and SDGs
  • Enhance skills in career development in M&E
  • Encourage application of knowledge and skills gained in the Winter School in their evaluation work/profession in their respective countries
  • Strengthen YEEs network in Asia Pacific

According to EvalYouth, Yong and Emerging Evaluators are defined as:

  • Evaluators under age of 35 years, OR
  • Evaluators who have less than 5 years of professional M&E experience, OR
  • Recent university graduates who are interested to join the evaluation profession, OR
  • Development professionals who have technical knowledge on evaluation and are willing to become professional evaluators.

The deadline for applications is 25 August 2024, 11:59 pm IST will be considered for the selection.
